Scott started tutoring our daughter after a poor set of exam results. She loved maths and chemistry but couldn't get to grips with physics. She achieved a Grade 9 having been her weakest subject (full review)

Our son felt lost with his science studies and certainly lacked confidence for the subjects. Before working with Scott, the mock results for all sciences were C, final grades were all A* (full testimonial)

Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions.
I no longer take requests to travel to homes for a few reasons:

2. It saves a lot of time travelling between clients which means I can allowcate more time to tutoring.

Yes, I teach maths at GCSE/iGCSE and often combine it with science tuition.
This varies depending on the requirments of the parent and the progress of the student. I speak with some parents on a weekly basis through email, text or phone. Other parents are happy to have an update on a slightly less frequent basis. This is something we usually establish on the first stratgey session when we outline a plan and how we will measure progress. In all cases, I have devloped a very good working relationship with the parents as I think it's incredibly important to have everyone pulling in the same diretion.
My online platform of choice is Bramble because it offers everything without needing additional software. There is nothing to download, each student has their own unique link and the online classroom is fast and simple to use. It also enables the student to save and download their work after every session and build their own online revision library.
I am also very familar with Google Meet, Google Docs, Zoom, Bitpaper, Skype and many other software used to teach online. So if the student is very keen on using a particular tool or resource that can be always be arranged. The main purpose of the technology is to enhance the learning opportunity and provide an excellent and comfortable online experience in each lesson for the student.
As a minimum requirement, a device (PC/Laptop/tablet) and a good internet connection is all that is required. However, some great cost effective additions I would recommend are a drawing tablet and set of headphones. If the student has something to draw with (either a drawing tablet or touchscreen device) they tend to be a lot more acitvely involved in the session, which is hugley beneficial for their learning.

Yes, I have a full catelogue of examination papers, learning resources and profiling tools that all of my students get access to.
While I prefer to teach individuals, due to the fact you can really personalise the lessons, I do consider groups (of no more than 4 students at a time).
